No points to argue, but stubborn as ever

So this is what our politicians are. They refuse to answer to the public when questioned. The refuse to accept the results given by the "committees" appointed by the parliament. They would still go ahead and implement things like reservations. The people dont matter. Logic doesnt matter. Emotions dont matter. Only THEIR power struggles matter. India will grow only when all these politicians are wiped out. Anyone care to invent a biological virus that infects only politicians?

Star wars spam

Good day and Compliments,

I got your contact from the internet, and picked interest to write you.I am the princess of the planet Naboo and my name is
Amidala. Anakin Skywalker used to call me Princess Amidala.
I am 24 yrs old. I’d like any person who can be caring, loving and home oriented. I will love to have a long-term relationship
with you and to know more about you. Especially after Anakin turned over to the dark side with a broken arm. He has now replaced
it with a bionic arm. He looks cool but then again who would want to have him as a husband? Seriously, he can choke you to death
without even touching you :O. Besides he cannot hold the spoon in his hands because of the bad ergonomics of his bionic arm and
its fingers. He either says “There is no spoon” or he chokes the servant to death or he uses the force to pick food up and gulp
it down his throat.
The reason I contact you is that I should be dying in the next episode or two. Hence I need to ensure the future of Luke Skywalker
and his sister… err that is supposed to be a secret, so lets keep it that way till the VI episode.
I would like to build up a solid foundation with you in time coming if you will be able to help me in this transaction.

Well, my father died earlier two months ago and left me and my younger brother behind. He was a king, which our town citizens
titled him before he died. I was a princess to him and I am the only person who can take care of his wealth now because my
younger brother is still a kid and my mother is not literate enough to know my entire father’s wealth.

He left $27,350,000 [Twenty Seven Million Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars)with The Union Bank Swiss Finance London,
United Kingdom(UBS) and I don’t know how to start up with the whole thing and what I will do to invest this money somewhere
in abroad, so that my father’s kindred will not take over what belongs to my father and his name, which they are planning to
do without my consent because I am a female as stated by our culture in the town.
I know that I could seek the help of the Sith to fix this situation, but I would like the Jedi to do that work for me. Right now
I am only concerned about my future occurance of death and my to arrive (this summer) kids.

That is why I felt happy when I saw your contact because I strongly believe that by the grace of God and Yoda, you will surely help me
invest this money. I am ready to pay 20% of the total amount to you if you will sincerely help us in this business and another
10%interest of annual income to you, for handling this business for us, which you will strongly have absolute control over.

If you will handle this project sincerely and also willing to assist me in lifting this fund, kindly reach me and I will link
you to The Union Bank Swiss Finance London United Kingdom (UBS) for further agreement.

Please, note that this transaction is 100% risk free and I hope to commence the transaction as quickly as possible,
I look forward hearing from you soonest.

About the business:
The business is mostly related to producing clones of a bounty hunter. This would soon be formed into a huge clone army that would
later participate in the Clone wars. Even this is a secret. So lets keep it that way.

Yours spammingly,
Princess Amidala

May the force be with you, in your inbox.

Wii

I think PS3 and Xbox 360 to a lesser extent, have more things to worry about than just pricing of their console. The very fact that Wii will come out @ a price much lower than theirs is enough danger. However since these consoles are too "powerful" and have quite a sizeable disc capacity, developers might get into the mood to fill up the disc to brim with content. That could mean gamedev costs could go up. Which would translate to costlier games. That is sure a turn-off for some of us. However with Wii being a less powerful machine and games costing less it could mean that gamers might turn towards the Wii.

first time …

I went to meet a friend @ Geumjeong @ around 1630 hrs and by the time I could think about coming back to my apartment, it was 2330 hrs. UGH. So I rushed to the subway station and luckily caught the last train to Sadang and I had to change the train there to Seocho. Well by the time I reached Sadang it was already quite late and I missed the train to Seocho. So I had to take the taxi. Well this post is about the taxi.

I waited a while on the road before taking a taxi to Seoch, observing the life in Seoul @ 0000hrs. Quite a few cars and the streets glow in the neon lights. Lots of people on the roads but I would have to admit most must've been the drunk trying to discover the path to their homes. After waiting for 5 mins or so, I caught a taxi and started explaining to him where I want to go. I said, "Seocho" in the best Corean accent that I could manage. I got a stare in response. Then I opened the door to the taxi and sat in the front seat. I then repeated my magic word, "Seocho". No response. Then I whipped out my elite business card and told him to read. He strictly refused it. I think he thought I was giving him my business card, I suppose. Then I repeated the magic word, "Seocho". In response I got a fatality – a question in Corean. That was it, I had nothing else to say. I just repeated "Seocho" and this time he gave up. He knew, I knew that this relation would be a troubling one. So we embarked on an adventure to discover my apartment in Seocho.

I believe he was asking me "Where in Seocho, <you moron>". There is no way to verify that though. So when we approached Seocho-dong area, he again blasted away his question. I was like white noise to me. I realised that survival in Corea means two things, avoid taxis and run around in trains, or learn Corean. I believe learning Corean is much easier. Need to hasten my learning process. So we reached Seocho-dong area and I was trying to do pattern matching on the streets, none of them registered. Then I turned to him, prayed to Sir Miyamoto and said, " Seocho-dong, Seocho subway " hoping that he recognises what I am saying. I believe it regisitered. He then proceeded to take a left and moved along to reach a subway station and said "Seocho subway station". I then started doing pattern matching rigorously and finally got my transformations right. I was on a road that I never used earlier. Man that was some intense processing. Finally I told him to take me to "Subway exit, hanna". I could see that there was something wrong with that statement because he was laughing away to glory. I immediately said "Subway exit, Il". He understood and while giggling way, he took me to the first exit. From there on it was quite easy because I was on familiar territory.

I spent 4000 Won on this trip that lasted for about 8 mins and travelling @ speeds topping 80-90kmph. There were quite a few traffic lights though. However I liked the trip. This was my hello world taxi commuting. That driver was very friendly, as much as he could be that is.

BTW to all the Indians, next time your boss says … "I bought a shiny new luxury car, Hyundai Sonata/Grandeur/Elantra", Just tell him that they are just ordinary taxis in Corea :)). That would puncture his ego for sure :P.

Should India buy military hardwar from the United States of America?

The quality of the hardware is not really the focus here. It is the govt of USA that is a bigger problem. USA has been prone to 'mood swings'. Iran is an example. It supported the Iranians during the Shah of Iran's rule (non-democratic btw), but they hate the new Iranian democracy. Why? This democracy does not suit the furthering of US's world conquest ambitions (did I really say that :O).
Their whole concept of 'champions of democracy' is flawed. They love democracy in other countries only because democracy means not a govt controlled economy. Which means that using tools like WTO and FTA, the American companies can invest in these countries and subsequently sap the resources of these countries. If they are such a champion of democracy, why do they recognise China and have huge investments? So this bullet point can be safely ignored or rather held against them.

Second, USA was the country that sent a battle group to the Indian ocean to support the Pakistani govt (controlled by military again) during the 1971 war. How can we trust the same country ever again? USA was the first country to stamp sanctions against India and that resulted in the LCA being delayed due to lack of engine equipment. Do we want to sleep with a serial killer? Their argument to setup factories in India are also to be taken with a pinch of salt. They are talking about assembly factories. NOT manufacturing factories. They will not license their technology to India.

Then there is the you-own-it-all philosophy. I hope the Indian military heads are reading this. The JSF (F-35) has a lot of work delegated to the computers. This is done from software. Now the USA has refused to release the source code to this software to even the closest of its allies. With JSF the americans are telling their partners, give us all your money, we may just give you something to buy. What does this mean? Suppose the americans manage to sell JSF to India in the near future (duh!) then if and when the president of America feels an itch to impose sanctions he could just push a button to disable these fighters. Simply put convert a few hundreds of million dollars of 'lethal' hardware into no more than a pile of scrap. It would then be a costly show-piece. Why am I saying this? We cannot trust the American govt ever!

So what is the way out? The Russians have been our allies for a long time now. Even though its for their own benefit that they do all these, its some good @least that trickles down. Consider the point that we had spares problems with Russian equipment. That was the mistake of the Indians. The beaurocrats have never bothered to think about this. Russians licensed the technology including the blue prints to their fighters. I say just buy one of those companies if you can. Or else set up joint collaborations. S37 (Berkut) could be a wonderful platform. Develop it. LCA can be finished if only our lazy politicians think about the country more than mudslinging and filling up their coffers. LCA can be made a joint venture. Get russian engines or ask them to make one. Russia has @least 3 engine manufacturers. All of them have great engine experience.

Are the laws of certain countries helping lazy programmers and greedy companies?

http://www.wired.com/news/columns/circuitcourt/0,70857-0.html?tw=wn_index_6

If there are laws that say that if you access someone's network and they term it to be unauthorized, you go to jail, then that is enough reason for companies to not bother about security. Imagine the same thing with a credit card company. Every good citizen who infiltrates their network to show that their systems are vulnerable is doing them free consultation. The guy who says that is tracked and prosecuted while a cracker who just steals money from accounts is never even traced. Is it a case of sour grapes? Or is it just to ensure people do not speak of the vulnerabilities?

If this keeps going, then it is just enough reason for these companies to put an EULA with these clauses. Also they can start ignoring any of the alarms raised by people because if someone does, (s)he will be sent to jail. That is enough detterrent for true hackers to keep quiet. or is it?

Are these laws contradictory to common sense? If so the people who make these laws and the people who enforce these laws have to get their mind checked. Maybe its not the people who make the laws but the people who enforce them. I do not know, but the bottom line is its absolute stupidity. Only hackers can stop crackers, not law enforcement officers. Trying to solve a problem like this by making laws is absolute stupidity. Hackers are precious. There are very few left anyway. Jedi order being destroyed by the sith/republic eh.
